What Man Utd loanee Pellistri did after Solskjaer was sacked as Man Utd boss

Manchester United loanee Facundo Pellistri has revealed he wrote to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after his dismissal as Manchester United boss.

The Norwegian lost his job after United’s 4-1 loss in the Premier League to Watford, with Ralf Rangnick appointed as interim boss until the end of the season.

Pellistri, who is out on loan at Deportivo Alaves in La Liga, spoke about the Solskjaer situation recently.

Speaking to The Guardian, Pellistri said: “I wrote to Ole, he gave me the chance to play for United and always taught me.

”I thanked him and wished him the best. Sadly, in football, results rule.

“When things aren’t going well, the easiest thing is to sack the coach — that happens everywhere.

“Football’s like that. It can be cruel.”
