Can Manchester United close on the gap on rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea? Read what new United boss said

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has expressed optimism over the club’s chances of turning things around and enjoying a successful season.
The German is also certain the club can close the gap on our rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, but admits the team needs to find consistency in winning games to stand the chance of doing so.
In his first press conference as the Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick was asked if the club can bridge the gap with the top three Premier League sides – Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
The 63-year-old replied: “It’s about winning games and, in the end, I’m very ambitious.
“We want to make the most successful season possible.
“Right now, we have to be realistic. The difference between us and the top three is big. But let’s see.”
The German is expected to be in charge when we face Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace side this weekend.
