New Manchester United boss Rangnick identifies his assistant

Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is eyeing New York Red Bulls head coach Gerhard Struber as his assistant, reports The Sun.
The report claims the Red Devils have contacted the American side over Struber, who joined the Red Bulls in 2020.
However, United would have to buy Struber out of his current contract with New York, which has two years left having joined from Barnsley in October 2020.
Rangnick, 63, and Struber, 44, know each other very well after working together at Red Bull Salzburg – the former as director of football and the latter as a youth team coach.
Struber would help take over from Michael Carrick, who left his role as an assistant following Ralf Rangnick’s appointment as interim head coach.
Rangnick reportedly wants Stuber as his assistant at Manchester United because he is keen to have people around him with the same footballing and coaching philosophy.
