Barcelona make decision on Man United star after dropping to the Europa League
Barcelona are readying an enticing offer for Edinson Cavani, according to RAC1 via the Express.
The Uruguayan has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
Cavani had wanted to move away from the club in the summer, but was persuaded to stay back by former manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
However, with the Norwegian now gone, the future is unclear, and reports say Barcelona are ready to make a swoop for Cavani, with an 18-month offer, which will see him finish his career at the Camp Nou.
There was also an earlier report by Mundo Deportivo, which claimed the 34 year old wouldn’t hesitate to play for Barcelona’s new coach, Xavi Hernandez, and that there wouldn’t be any problem with him featuring in the UEFA Europa League.
The La Liga side recently dropped out to Europe’s second tier competition, after failing to make it to the round of sixteen in the UEFA Champions League.
There is also an urgent need for some firepower upfront, with Sergio Aguero, recently retiring from playing football, due to a heart condition.
