Timely boost as two Manchester United stars declared fit for our clash against Newcastle United
Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has received a timely boost ahead of our game against Newcastle United as United duo Edinson Cavani and Raphael Varane have been declared fit to play.
United have been without Cavani, 34, since the start of November, but the veteran striker returned to training earlier this month and has gradually stepped up his recovery from a tendon injury in recent weeks.
According to Metro, Cavani was pictured with the rest of squad at Manchester Airport as the team prepared to travel for the game against Newcastle United.
France international Raphael Varane who has been sidelined with a thigh injury, was also photographed pulling into the airport’s car park and may feature for the first time since getting injured in our Champions League 2-2 draw with Atalanta.
Both players will be itching to play as manager Ralf Rangnick will be happy to continue his unbeaten record since taking charge at Old Trafford.
Victory at St. James’ Park would see us move up to fifth in the Premier League table.
