Thierry Henry tells Jadon Sancho how to improve his game after Man Utd’s win over Burnley
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has urged Manchester United star to play without limit and wants him to be more lethal in front of goal.
In his appearance on Amazon Prime Video’s coverage of United’s 3-1 victory over Burnley last night, the Frenchman said: “Those are the types of players you want to watch but he is playing within himself.
“When you are in a one-on-one, you should take a player on.
“But it was Luke Shaw who was forcing him to take on those one-on-ones.
“What happened to beating your man on the outside?
“They often want to go too much inside. Just beat your man on the outside and be lethal.”
We took the lead through Scott McTominay, before an own-goal from Clarets defender Ben Mee doubled our lead.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s tap-in made the points safe, although Aaron Lennon was able to grab Burnley a consolation goal.
The game against Burnley was Sancho’s 21st appearance since his £73million move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United.
He has so far scored twice for the club, with both efforts coming against Villarreal and Chelsea during Michael Carrick’s reign.
