Cristiano Ronaldo provides injury update ahead of Villa clash
Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has given an update on his injury ahead of the game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Portugese missed our last match with the Villans as he was down with a muscle injury, and in his absence Manchester United had to sweat to get a 1-0 win against Villa in our FA Cup clash on Monday.
But ahead of this weekend’s clash with Steven Gerrard’s men, Ronaldo has expressed optimism he will be fit and available for the game.
When asked if he’d be available for selection, the 36 year old said, “I hope so. We will try on Thursday. I will try to train as normal. Let’s see how the body reacts. Fingers crossed. I’m confident.”
Man United got a victory over Villa in the reverse Premier League clash this season, but with Steven Gerrard at the helm, coupled with the recent signing of Lucas Digne, they are a different side altogether, and our boys will have to up their last performance against the Villans to get maximum points this time around.
