Manchester City interim boss Ralf Rangnick has expressed sadness at the outcome of our Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday night.

The Red Devils were 2-0 up, and looked set to take all three points, thanks to two goals from Bruno Fernandes, only to switch off, and allow the hosts get back into the game.

Villa’s new signing, Philippe Coutinho, did a lot of damage after coming on for his debut in the second half, and it wasn’t long before he bagged his first for the home side, and make it 2-2.

Speaking after the game, Rangnick was disappointed, even if he acknowledged we were the better team at some point.

He told Sky Sports: “When you are 2-0 up, you have to defend it better than we did in the last 15 minutes.

“We gave away too many balls and were not compact, therefore conceded the two goals.”

“Very difficult to find some positives after these 95 minutes,” he added.

“We had spells where I felt it was our best game since I came here and completely dominated the first 30 minutes.”

United are still seventh on the table, after 20 games and just 32 points.
