It’s time for Manchester United to sell Anthony Martial
One Anthony Martial moment every Manchester United fans won’t forget in a hurry was when he scored on his debut in the 3-1 win over arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on 12 September, 2015.
The sky was seen as the starting point for the French prodigy who was signed for £36m from Monaco.
7 years on from that moment, Martial has failed to fully convince he has what it takes to be the star player many had predicted he would become at the Theatre of Dreams. Our dreams have been shattered by the player’s inability to live up to expectations.
More disappointment came in the aftermath of Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa as manager Ralf Rangnick revealed the Frenchman refused to be involved in the game against Steven Gerrard’s side.
Asked about his lack of subs, and if Martial was the reason, Rangnick explained: “Yes, he didn’t want to be in the squad.
“He would have been in the squad normally but he didn’t want to, and that’s the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday.”
A total let-down in all ramifications as he edges towards the exit door and pushes for a transfer away from Old Trafford. The Frenchman is only turning himself into am easy target for the United fans who aren’t friendly in bashing players who are not loyal to the club.
Despite the fact the player has denied not wanting to play, it will be a wise decision just to sanction his exit to avoid keeping an unhappy player at the club.
