Manchester United target tipped to be future captain. He has been told to look at Maguire
Manchester United target, Declan Rice, has been tipped to become a future England captain.
This is according to his manager at West Ham, David Moyes, who watched the midfielder impress during their FA Cup clash against Moddershall Harriers last weekend.
Rice saved West Ham’s blushes, after coming on as a second half substitute, to rescue the Hammers by scoring an equaliser in stoppage time.
Moyes believes the 23 year old has all it takes to wear the England captain’s armband in future, and has urged him to learn from his peers.
“As an individual, he’s a really improving young man who’s gaining a lot of experience and is getting better,” said Moyes.
“He learns an awful lot from Mark Noble, and I have said many times he should look at Harry Kane and Harry Maguire and all the senior players he is involved with in England and take as much from them as he can.
“Because in the future there is no doubt he has a great chance of going on to be an England captain.
“We are really pleased to have him and he is an impressive young man.”
