Micah Richards backs Manchester United to sign up Belgium international
Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has said that he expects Manchester United target, Youri Tielemans to leave Leicester City at the end of the season, with former Manchester City defender Micah Richards, suggesting the midfielder is weighing up a number of options.
Tielemans will have just one year left on his contract at the King Power Stadium this summer, with United and Arsenal among the sides to have been linked with the Belgium international.
Reports say Tielemans is looking to leave Leicester City as soon as possible, and the Foxes are willing to lower his valuation from £60 million to £35 million.
The 24 year old was in action for the Foxes against West Ham on Sunday, but Carragher says he expects the midfielder to leave at the end of the season.
“I think he’ll see himself as a Champions League player,” the former Liverpool defender told Sky Sports.
“He’s playing for Belgium, one of the best teams in the world. I expect him to leave in the summer.”
Meanwhile, Richards says he expects Tielemans to have plenty of options on the table, and has asked him to take his time to choose.
“He’s probably in the form of his life now,” Richards said.
“You’ve got to review, comes to the summer, talks of Man United, Barcelona, PSG being in for him – now course you’re going to be looking at your options.”
