Manchester United legend mocked by Liverpool and Man City legend for claiming Manchester United can win the Champions League
Champions League football is back, and we’ve seen some top games in the Champions League round of 16.
Manchester United are in the round of 16, and will have to beat Spanish side Atletico Madrid to get to the quarter-final of the competition.
Manchester United are two time winners of the Champipns League, and last won it in 2008. Although United are going through a difficult phase, club legend Peter Schmeichel believes that his former side can be European champions this season.
Schmeichel who captained United to victory in the 1999 final was asked by Micah Richards on CBS Sports whether he believes his former side can win the competition for the third time in their history.
When Schmeichel answered in the affirmative, his response was met with mocking laughter from Micah Richards and Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, who don’t see United anywhere close to the final.
