Paul Scholes happy with what Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick did against Leeds United
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has praised Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick for making key substitutions at the right time during Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Leeds United on Sunday.
Manchester United led 2-0 at half-time courtesy goals from Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes but Leeds United levelled the scores just nine minutes into the second-half.
With Leeds United threatening to find the winner, Rangnick made the decision to make a double substitution, taking off Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard and introducing Anthony Elanga and Fred.
Rangnick’s substitutions paid off as Fred and Elanga scored to secure a 4-2 victory over Leeds United.
“We thought it was going to be a nice comfortable afternoon for Man United but they made it hard for themselves,” Scholes told the Premier League’s official website.
“Man United showed character to come back into the game and you have to give the manager credit – he was brave to take Pogba off but both his subs had a big impact on the game. It’s a good win.”
