What Manchester United would do if Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave at the end of the season
According to The Mirror, Manchester United will not stand in the way of Cristiano Ronaldo if he wants to quit the club this summer.
It is believed Ronaldo will leave the club at the end of the season if the Red Devils fail to finish in the top four and guarantee Champions League football for next season.
Manchester United will allow the 37 year old Portugal international leave the club in the summer if he makes it clear he wants to go.
The report adds that the Manchester United hierarchy now feel signing Ronaldo last summer was an error of judgement driven by both commercial factors and the determination to stop him joining rivals Manchester City.
Ronaldo was expected to transform the Reds into contenders for the Premier League and Champions League and that hasn’t happened so far.
