Arsenal boss gives verdict on Premier League top four battle with Manchester United
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given his verdict on the Premier League top four battle with Manchester United.
Manchester United are currently fourth in the Premier League with 46 points, four points ahead of Arsenal in sixth place who have played three games less.
West Ham are fifth with 42 points, Wolves are seventh with 40 points but have played two games less while Tottenham Hotspur are eighth with 39 points but have played two games less.
Arteta expects a rollercoaster race for the top four in the Premier League this season with five teams in the hunt.
“I think it’s going to be a bit of a rollercoaster,” he told reporters ahead of Thursday’s home league match against Wolves.
“There are moments when a team opens a gap and then (others) catch up. You see the fixtures we all have to play and they’re extremely tricky.
“The players know what every game means for us. We know where we are. That race is going to be right until the end. There are a lot of clubs involved. You see different results than expected. Points at home will be crucial.”
