Manchester United took a bold stand against crisis and war, amid the ongoing problems in Ukraine.
Just before the game against Watford kicked off on Saturday, the players and Ralf Rangnick were spotted holding up a sign with the word ‘Peace’ written on it in different languages.
The move was a way of telling Russia that the club was in no way in support of their ongoing invasion of Ukraine, and journalists say it was the brainchild of Rangnick.
The Man United players also called on their Watford counterpart to join them, as they all posed for photos with the sign.
The move comes after Cristiano Ronaldo took to his social media to speak against the worsening crisis.
“We need to create a better world for our children. Praying for peace in our world,” wrote the Portugal forward on his Instagram stories.
