Ralf Rangnick: There is nothing else we can do

Ralf Rangnick was very unhappy with his forwards, following Manchester United’s goalless draw against Watford on Saturday afternoon.

United had more of the ball, and a total of 22 attempts at goal, with only three of them on target.

Cristiano Ronaldo hit the woodwork in the first half, and had a goal ruled out for offside moments later, while Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga also missed glaring opportunities.

Speaking after the game, Rangnick admitted that the team did all it could to win the match, and there’s nothing else to do but to work hard for the next game against Manchester City.

He said: “There is nothing else that we can do now. We have to work hard in order to get ready and prepare ourselves for the derby next Sunday, but those two points that we dropped here today, they hurt.

“We will start [preparing for the City game] at the beginning of next week. But right now, it feels awful, and as I said it’s not the first time that we dropped two valuable points.”
