Manchester United star reveals the truth about his relationship with Ronaldo
Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has dismissed suggestions of a rift between himself and Cristiano Ronaldo, insisting they enjoy a great relationship.
The pair played together for seven years at Real Madrid, and were reunited at Old Trafford, following their transfers last summer.
Things haven’t exactly gone as expected for the pair, with the Red Devils currently struggling for a place in next season’s Champions League, but the Frenchman says spending time with Ronaldo on and off the pitch has been beneficial.
He told Canal Plus, “We have a very good relationship.
“He’s someone who likes to share, who likes to talk about everything he knows in terms of football, in terms of physical and mental preparation.
“We don’t hesitate to talk about everything that surrounds the life of a professional footballer.
“It’s a great experience to play with him. He’s competitive, winning mentality is a plus for the team.”
Ronaldo currently leads the scorers’ chart for Man United, with 15 goals this season.
