Report: Manchester United make Anthony Martial decision
Manchester United have no plan to lose Anthony Martial this summer, even if they are yet to appoint the next permanent manager.
Martial currently plays for Sevilla, after joining them on loan in January, following talks with Ralf Rangnick.
Rangnick opted to allow the Frenchman join the Spanish outfit until the end of the season, after the 26 year old requested to, but United have struggled for goals in his absence, with Cristiano Ronaldo netting just once in his last ten.
The Red Devils are keen to sign a striker this summer, but are yet to appoint a permanent successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are favourites for the role, and whoever comes in will decide what happens in terms of player arrivals and departures.
Rangnick is also expected to have a say when he transitions into a consultancy role at the end of the season.
United’s Director of Football, Darren Fletcher, will also have a say, and the plan is to keep Martial, according to the Daily Mail.
The forward has performed well in Spain so far, and wants to stay beyond the summer, but the potential departures of Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Edinson Cavani means he’ll most likely be returning to Old Trafford.
