Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick will start Cristiano Ronaldo against Manchester City this weekend despite goal drought according to The Sun via Daily Mail.
After returning to Manchester United from Juventus, Ronaldo started the season in brilliant form scoring scoring eight goals in his first 15 league appearances.
However, the goals have dried up since the turn of the year as he has found the net just once in his last 10 matches in all competitions.
Rangnick is optimistic that Ronaldo will benefit from the eight-day break in between games, and could be reinvigorated at the Etihad Stadium.
The game against Manchester City this weekend is a game that Manchester United can’t afford to lose.
Manchester United currently occupy fourth spot in the Premier League, but we are just two points above Arsenal, and the Gunners have three games in hand.
