Manchester United are currently three points behind Chelsea who are 3rd on the Premier League standings, although the Blues have two games in hand.
Manchester United’s last game was a disappointing goalless draw against Watford. United had many chances to win the game but ended without scoring a goal.
In recent weeks, United have drawn Watford, Burnley, Southampton and Aston Villa, and a win in any of those games would have taken United level on points with Chelsea.
Bruno Fernandes believes that United would have been closer or even ahead of Chelsea if they had found wins in those games.
”As I have said many times, we have dropped points on third place again,” Bruno Fernandes lamented after the goalless draw with Watford.
“I think that’s the main thing for us, as we could be much closer to them [Chelsea].
“However, now is not the time to start thinking about how many points we should have now or how many points we should have in the end.
“We have to look to the next game, to win the game and to get three points again.”
