Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes Manchester United have too many spoilt kids.
A 4-1 defeat to Man City on Sunday was bad enough, but the manner of the defeat was particularly concerning.
He told talkSPORT Breakfast: “Manchester United just have too many spoilt kids there, they’ve got too much, too early. They are playing for Manchester United but don’t really know what it’s like to win for Manchester United.
“That’s the biggest problem there.”
He added: “The respect and discipline, I just don’t know if these new young players, the way you talk to them, you can’t say certain things.
“When you are playing football you need to have that leadership and have someone that can dig someone out and roll your sleeves up and fight for each other.
“I just look at this Manchester United side and it’s full of talent, but I’m not sure it’s got any heart, any desire.
“I don’t know if that’s going out of the game and they’d be worried about a Roy Keane coming in and upsetting people.
“I think you need that in football.”
