Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has issued an apology to the club’s supporters following Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
With City leading United 2-1 at half-time, fans expected United to push City for the equaliser in the second-half but instead the Red Devils folded and collapsed, failing to register a single shot on goal.
Sancho was one of the few Manchester United players to have impressed, after scoring a brilliant goal against Manchester City.
The forward has now apologised to fans for the embarrassing performance against Manchester City.
On Twitter, the winger said: “Apologies to the fans… it’s not good enough. We have to look [at] ourselves as players and work hard to make things right.
“We will keep on fighting.”
