Manchester United have received a huge boost as the club begins the process of appointing a permanent manager.
According to The Mirror, Erik ten Hag is now prepared to take up the Manchester United manager role in the summer after growing frustrated at Ajax.
The reports claims Ten Hag is now ready to quit the Ajax job and become Manchester United boss after seeing sporting director Marc Overmars quit the club recently.
Ten Hag is ready to embark on a journey to Old Trafford and could even offer Ralf Rangnick a role in his coaching staff.
The Dutchman would be willing to have Ralf on the bench for games and join his staff in an advisory role of sorts.
Rangnick, of course, is set to take up an advisory role within United after the season is over, so it’s not guaranteed whether he’ll accept Erik’s potential offer.
After winning titles in Ajax and improving the fortunes of the Dutch club in the Champions League, Ten Hag is reportedly looking for a fresh challenge and believes he’s ready for the Manchester United job.
