The future of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been shrouded in some uncertainty in recent days given the chaos that has ensued at Stamford Bridge following the sanctioning of owner Roman Abramovich last week.
Manchester United are reportedly monitoring developments at Chelsea as the Red Devils seek to appoint our next permanent manager.
While Tuchel confirmed he will remain Chelsea boss until the end of the season following their 1-0 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday, the German tactician failed to confirm he would see out his Chelsea contract which expires in 2024.
Tuchel told reporters: “If I stay till the end of the season? Sure, there is no doubt that I stay until the end of the season. Absolutely.”
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax boss Erik ten Hag are leading the race to become Manchester United’s next permanent manager but if Tuchel becomes available at the end of the season, Manchester United have to make a move for the German tactician.
