Manchester United have a huge Champions League cracker tonight against Atletico Madrid, and the winner of this fixture will go through to the Champions League quarter-final.

Making his prediction for the Champions League games, ex United striker Michael Owen has revealed he is backing Manchester United to win this tie 1-0.

Owen doesn’t see Atletico Madrid as the strong defensive side it once was.

He told BetVictor: That was a great result for Manchester away in Madrid. We all know how patchy they’ve been domestically, but I think Europe comes as a welcome distraction.

“This isn’t the Atletico of old when they had, arguably, the best defence in Europe, so I think United can get a result here.”

Manchester United has told his side to avoid conceding an early goal if they want to win this game.
