Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo will end the year without a trophy for the first time since 2010 following Manchester United’s exit from the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and 2-1 on aggregate to dump the Red Devils out of the Champions League.

Manchester United are also out of the FA Cup and aren’t challenging for the Premier League which means Ronaldo will finish the season without a trophy.

Having completed a sensational return move to Old Trafford last summer, the 37-year-old has scored 18 goals this season from 32 appearances in all competitions. However, the Portuguese was powerless to stop United crashing out of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
