Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane has become the first Manchester United player to react to Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid at Old Trafford.

He wrote on Instagram: “We will not point fingers, fight each other or complain. We can reflect on the season when the battle is finished.

“The atmosphere last night was incredible, we will fight for everything for this club until the last minute of the season. Failure is a foundation of victory.”

Varane was one of few players that performed brilliantly for Manchester United and was unlucky not to score against Atletico Madrid.
