Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has sent a Champions League warning to Manchester United after his Arsenal side beat Aston Villa 1-0 on Saturday.

Arsenal’s victory at Aston Villa means they are now four points ahead of Manchester United with a game in hand.

Arteta has warned Manchester United that he is confident his side can hold onto fourth spot until the end.

“The team has a lot of character, intelligence, courage and quality,” he told BT Sport. “They trust me and you see the connection they have with the fans is incredible to watch.

“If you want to be with a top team, you have to win at home and away. We are there with 10 games to go, we have this feeling that we really want it and you can sense it. We are going to give it a go to the very end.”
