According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Manchester United are interested in signing Juventus defender, Merih Demiral, who is currently on loan at Atalanta.

Demiral, though very highly rated, was unable to get the regular football he was looking for at the Turin club, with the competition ahead of him very strong.

However, he has impressed on loan at Atalanta, with the 24 year old a regular for the Serie A side this season, with 32 appearances to his name so far.

Spanish sides Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in signing the defender.

Atalanta paid a €5million loan fee for Demiral and have the option to sign him for €28million. With Atalanta expected to sign him permanently at the end of the season, Manchester United would have to go for a figure which presents a reasonable profit before Atalanta will let him leave.
