Ralf Rangnick was given a two-year offer to play a consultancy role at the club, at the expiry of his position as interim manager.

Reports now claim that Manchester United are yet to fully outline Rangnick’s role as a consultant to the club.

Rangnick specialises in structuring clubs behind-the-scenes, and puts in a system to ensure a winning model on every level.

According to Sky Sports, United do not envisage the role being ‘hands on’, and Rangnick will likely take on a more advisory-based role.

It was believed that Rangnick will have a say over the club’s permanent manager, but that is far from being settled.
