Manchester United have a huge decision to make at the end of the season, and it’s a decision that could spell success or doom for the club in the coming years.

It’s no news that Manchester United have been unable to find a worthy successor for the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, who vacated the seat in 2013.

Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag have been deemed as the leading candidates to take over from Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season, but their disappointing Champions League round of 16 exit has now raised doubts over their ability to manage a club as big as Manchester United.

Reports claim that the Manchester United board are split over who should be appointed at the end of the season.

For Ten Hag, the young manager is highly rated, but there are fears over whether he can succeed with a big budget at a top European side.

For Pochettino, his stock has dropped since moving to PSG. Besides the Champions League failure this season, PSG were surprisingly knocked out of winning the French league last season by Lille, and Pochettino has struggled to manage a PSG dressing with so much personality and ego.

Manchester United indeed have a huge decision to make at the end of the season.
