‘He didn’t feel well enough to train’ – Rangnick explains star’s absence against Leicester City
Manchester United missed Cristiano Ronaldo, as United played out a 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
Ronaldo had featured for Portugal and helped them qualify for the World Cup, but returned sick to Carrington.
Explaining his absence against the Foxes, Rangnick said: “He had some flu like symptoms before training yesterday, he didn’t feel well enough to train.
“We sent out doctor to his home this morning to check if he felt any better but he didn’t, so he’s not in the starting XI as he was supposed to be.”
Manchester United lacked that attacking edge against Leicester City, with Edinson Cavani also unavailable for the fixture through injury .
