Why I took off Paul Pogba in the first-half against Liverpool – Ralf Rangnick
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was substituted after just 10 minutes in the embarrassing 4-0 defeat at Anfield to Liverpool on Tuesday night.
The France international was replaced by Jesse Lingard and Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed the midfielder had to be taken off after suffering a calf injury.
Rangnick said: “He pulled his calf muscle. As it seems right now, this will not be an injury like the one Fred has, which will be gone in one week. I fear that Paul will not be available for [the] Arsenal or Chelsea [games].”
Next for Manchester United is a Premier League game against top four rivals Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.
