Erik ten Hag tells Manchester United board that he wants an entire new starting XI
According to The Independent, new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has requested the Manchester United board for an ‘entire new starting XI’ to fix the many issues within the squad.
The report also adds that Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick supports this idea, as he thinks a majority of the players are not up to the standards.
Ten Hag reportedly made the request for an entire new starting XI before Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
Players like Phil Jones, Dean Henderson, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are all expected to leave Manchester United this summer.
Rangnick has also told the Manchester United board to sign young hungry players and avoid signing big-name players.
