“Manchester United are an embarrassing bunch of overpaid, work-shy prima donnas” – Piers Morgan claims Manchester United will be relegated without this player
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has slammed Manchester United players after the 4-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
The scoreline didn’t flatter Brighton as they outplayed and outfought a very poor Manchester United team.
Morgan slammed Manchester United players for being overpaid and not working hard enough on the pitch and believes Manchester United will be relegated without Cristiano Ronaldo.
Morgan tweeted: “Manchester United are an embarrassing bunch of overpaid, work-shy prima donnas. Without Ronaldo they’d be relegated – he should get out of there fast and join Arsenal.
“At least our players give it 100% every game. These United players don’t give 1% when the chips are down.”
However, some fans disagreed with Morgan and believe Ronaldo is also part of the problem.
@gwiji_1 tweeted: “Wrong! Manchester United finished second last season without Ronaldo, the same man who left Juventus in tatters. He’s hindered the development of every other player. Benzema will agree.”
@MisukuBrown tweeted: “You can attack Man United without having to protect Ronaldo. Is he not part of the team today? They finished second without him.”
@theePopota tweeted: “Without De Gea is what you should have said.”
@RobDGreatest tweeted: “Without Ronaldo they were second. Without Ronaldo Rashford and Cavani hit double figures. Without Ronaldo Manchester United reached an European final. Ronaldo only came back to stat pad and say he did it at 37 with Manchester United.”
