Manchester United are planning a swap deal to try and land Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports.
The Nigerian international is one of the players wanted by new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag after scoring 13 goals in 25 Serie A games for Napoli this season.
The Napoli star has been in fine form this season, with his goals helping his team to third in the Serie A table.
With Edinson Cavani set to leave Manchester United after two years at the club and Anthony Martial struggling for form on loan at Sevilla, the Red Devils are desperate sign a striker this summer.
According to a report on The Express, Manchester United have already seen a bid for the forward rejected, having made a discreet approach.
The Red Devils are reportedly preparing to submit a second offer for Osimhen by offering Anthony Martial plus cash for the Nigerian international.
Martial’s preference would be to stay in La Liga, even though Sevilla have played down interest in signing the United forward permanently.
But the Red Devils want to ‘act in advance’ and want to permanently cut ties with the 26-year-old.
Napoli, for their part, have ‘little interest’ in taking Martial to Italy this summer.
