Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag could reportedly watch his new side’s final game of this season from the stands.

According to The Athletic via Daily Mail, Ten Hag is keen to watch United’s final match of the season – against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in south London – from the stands as he starts to plan ahead for next season.

The Dutchman has not made a final decision on his plan to watch Manchester United play Crystal Palace in person.

Ten Hag takes over on a three-year contract in the summer from current interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who has overseen the first-team since November amid a disappointing season.

Manchester United are currently sixth in the table, three points ahead of West Ham in seventh but the Hammers have played a game less.

Ten Hag sealed the Eredivisie title with Ajax in midweek and takes charge of his last game for the Amsterdam giants on Sunday, away at Vitesse.

Manchester United are guaranteed to play European football next season following Wolves 5-1 defeat to Manchester City but it could be European Conference League and not Europa League for Manchester United if we fail to beat Crystal Palace.
