Chelsea ready to sell £100,000-a-week player to Manchester United this summer
Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Moroccan forward Hakim Ziyech this summer to Manchester United and other interested clubs.
Ziyech, 29, has failed to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea since joining the Blues from Ajax in 2020. He made just 23 Premier League appearances this season.
Ziyech has three years left to run on his contract and is believed to earn around £100,000 a week at Chelsea.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are open to selling Ziyech this summer if they receive a considerable offer for the winger.
Romano tweeted: “Chelsea are now open to sell Hakim Ziyech in case they will receive an important proposal.”
Last week, Dutch legend Marco van Basten urged Manchester United to make a bid for Ziyech who he believes would make a big impact at Old Trafford under his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
The Morocco international was a key part of Ten Hag’s Ajax side which won the Eredivisie title in 2018 before he was sold to Chelsea two years later in a £33.3 million deal.
“What comes to my mind now is that I think Ziyech who already plays in England could be a very good footballer at Manchester United for Erik,” Van Basten said.
