Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has been urged to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante because the France international will bring a winning mentality to Old Trafford.
The Chelsea midfielder has been linked with a move to the Red Devils, and transfer expert Dean Jones feels he is the sort of player Manchester United need.
Kante is approaching the final year of his £290,000-a-week contract at Chelsea and could be available this summer.
Jones told Givemesport: “Somebody like Kante is obviously a short-term option that brings a winning mentality and raises the standard of the team.
“And there are certain positions where they’re going to have to look at that, and midfield is probably one space where they will look to do it.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has discussed the importance of Kante to the Blues, comparing him to Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe in the process.
“I think he is our key, key, key player but key, key, key players need to be on the pitch,” Tuchel told GOAL and other outlets. “He plays only 40 per cent of the games.”
The former PSG boss then went on to add: “He is our Mo Salah, he is our Van Dijk, he is our De Bruyne. He is simply that player, he is our Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.”
