According to Sky Sports Germany via Metro UK, Manchester United will rival Premier League rivals Chelsea for the transfer of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.
The Red Devils will reportedly submit an offer for Nkunku next week after receiving the backing of new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
Nkunku is also attracting interest from Spanish side Real Madrid after scoring 35 goals and providing 14 assists in all competitions. The France international was named Bundesliga Player of the Year after an impressive season.

Manchester United are hoping to beat Chelsea and Real Madrid to the signing of Nkunku by submitting an offer for the France international next week.
The report also adds that Nkunku’s representatives are already in contact with United with Ten Hag backing the move.
RB Leipzig are reluctant to cash in this summer and could offer the France international a new contract that includes the incentive of a buyout clause, keeping him at the club for at least another year.
Nkunku however is said to be ‘hesitant’ over penning fresh terms with the German side.
