Paris Saint-Germain are willing to let Brazilian forward Neymar leave this summer if they receive a suitable offer, according to reports in France.
Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for a world record fee of £198million in 2017 but he is no longer seen as the best player at Paris Saint-Germain, with that status being held by Kylian Mbappe, who has just signed a £650,000-a-week, three-year deal with the French club.
Neymar has now responded to reports that Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling him this summer by claiming he wants to remain with the French club.
“It’s very true on my side that I want to stay at Paris Saint Germain. Afterwards, no one said anything to me” Neymar tells OhMyGoal via Fabrizio Romano.
“On my side it’s clear that I want to stay here at PSG,” he added.
A source in Neymar’s camp told L’Equipe: “No one contacted us to tell us that Neymar was on the market. We were pressured to extend last year. We extended. We still have several years of contract. That’s all we know.”
Despite PSG’s willingness to sell the 30 year old Brazilian this summer, Manchester United have no interest in signing Neymar.
