“I don’t close any doors. Everything is possible” – Player with 55 goal contributions reveals amid interest from Manchester United
Christopher Nkunku has refused to rule out the prospect of leaving RB Leipzig this summer amid ongoing links connecting him with a move to Manchester United.
The France international was named Bundesliga Player of the Year after impressive season which saw him score 35 goals and grab 20 assists in all competitions.
His tally of 55 direct goal contributions means that he has averaged more than one goal involvement every game, making 51 appearances.
Manchester United aren’t the only club interested in signing Nkunku this summer with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea also interested.
Speaking ahead of France’s upcoming Nations League clash with Denmark, Nkunku said: “I don’t close any doors. Everything is possible in football.
“It’s flattering to have the biggest clubs in the world interested in me. But it’s also flattering that Leipzig is doing everything to keep me. We are in June, and I am focused on this gathering.”
Nkunku is under contract at RB Leipzig until the summer of 2024. The German side are keen on keeping the 24 year old and have reportedly offered him a new contract.
