According to French journalist Jacque Talbot, Marcus Rashford will stay at Manchester United despite interest from German champions Bayern Munich.

Some reports had claimed Bayern Munich wasn’t interested in signing Rashford this summer but Talbot insists there has been interest from Bayern Munich for the 24 year old forward.

Rashford reportedly considered leaving Manchester United this summer after falling down the pecking order at the club but is now set to remain at Manchester United.

Talbot told GIVEMESPORT via The Sun: “I’m told Rashford is staying put. There was definite interest from Bayern Munich, who were trying to bring him in.

“I think with Rashford there was interest because he is a big name, he’s still a young talent, but I think his heart is at Manchester United.

“There’s something symbolic about his name and Manchester United and the fact he’s a local lad, so I imagine he’ll be staying.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has claimed Rashford isn’t good enough for a top club like Manchester United.

“He is just not quite good enough for Manchester United, Marcus Rashford,” Carragher said on Sky Bet’s The Overlap show.

“That is all it is. That’s it, he is not quite good enough for Manchester United. He’s Tottenham or Arsenal.

“He is not going to win you the league or the Champions League. You would need the two upfront with him to be megastars and he would be the addition.”
