Liverpool star Mohamed Salah ready to join Manchester United if this happens at Liverpool
With Sadio Mane keen on securing a move away from Liverpool, Mohamed Salah won’t leave Liverpool this summer, regardless of whether he signs a new contract.
However, according to The Athletic, Salah will join a Premier League club next summer should he leave Liverpool as a free agent at the end of next season.
Salah has just one year left on his Liverpool contract and is adamant he won’t leave this summer. He’s fully committed to Jurgen Klopp’s side for 2022-23 season.
However, unless the 29-year-old receives a significantly improved contract offer from Liverpool, he will leave as a free agent at the end of next season.
Should Salah leave Liverpool next summer, the Egyptian international prefers to remain in the Premier League rather than head overseas.
Signing Salah as a free agent next summer will definitely appeal to Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag but he must first guide Manchester United back into the Champions League.
As it stands, Salah looks likely to leave Liverpool next summer as a free agent as there is a vast disparity between what he wants and what Liverpool are willing to offer.
The Athletic also adds that Liverpool offered to increase Salah’s wages by just 15 per cent, which the forward felt under-valued his status in world football.
It is believed Salah is seeking wages that would make him the sixth-best-paid footballer on the planet.
Salah has scored 156 goals in 254 games since a £43.9 million move from Roma in the summer of 2017.
But Liverpool should be more reasonable and make him one of the best paid superstar in the EPL because he has contributed a lot to the rise of his club. The problem with Liverpool is that they want the best of best players at Annifield and yet they’re stingy when it comes paying good salaries and if they’re not careful they’ll like lose Mo Salah to other EPL opponents
