Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has hailed Manchester United transfer target and Benfica striker Darwin Nunez as a ‘good player’.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is keen on signing the 22 year old striker after he scored 34 goals across all competitions last season, including six in the Champions League.
Darwin Nunez scored in each leg of Benfica’s Champions League quarter-final clash against Liverpool, who are also interested in signing the striker.
Speaking while on international duty for Portugal, Jota said: “I don’t know, I’m focused on the national team.
“The market will move, I have no idea what the signings could be.
“I had the opportunity to play against him and he’s a good player, but I can’t say anything else at the moment.”
