Arsenal move to hijack Manchester United’s transfer target

According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness, Premier League rivals Arsenal have moved to hijack Manchester United transfer target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Red Devils have identified the 27 year old midfielder as an ideal signing for the club this summer but are unwilling to pay Lazio’s asking price.

Lazio owner Claudio Lotito reportedly wants between €70million to €100million for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic even though he has just one year left on his contract.

However, the minimum price to approach Claudio Lotito is said to be €65m, which is the maximum fee those around the player feel is acceptable.

Manchester United aren’t willing to meet Lazio’s asking price but Premier League rivals Arsenal arw reportedly willing to pay close to €60million for the 27 year old Serbian international.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has revealed why he rejected Erik ten Hag’s offer to return to the club as part of his coaching staff.
