Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has revealed the two things he expects from new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.

David de Gea is hoping that Ten Hag will bring an exciting style of football and positive energy to Manchester United.

“We are all very excited for the new manager,” De Gea told United’s in-house media.

“I think need to be more positive about next season and bring good energy from the beginning.

“Hopefully, the coach will bring a good style of football and good energy to the team. For sure it’s going to be a better season.

“It’s been a difficult season I mean in the way we work with the Covid situation we couldn’t travel so just being able to travel and be on the tour again and have the whole team together and prepare in a proper pre-season, I think it’s going to be very good.

“Good for the team, good for the club and good for the fans as well.

“Yes thank you very much to all of them [supporters] and to the fans it’s incredible to see them all the time there supporting the team even in the difficult days.

“I think we have one of the best fans in the world so thank you very much for the sport and hopefully next season is going to be much better.

“So be positive and all together. We are going to improve, so thank you.”

Meanwhile, Spain boss Luis Enrique has explained his decision to omit David de Gea from his Spain squad.
