Manchester United are confident of reaching an agreement with Alejandro Garnacho over a new contract, according to Manchester Evening News.

Negotiations between the Manchester United and the 17 year old wonderkid are understood to be progressing well.

Manchester United reportedly want to reward the teenager with a deal that reflects his growing stature at the club after guided United to victory in the Youth Cup and made his first-team debut last season.

Alejandro Garnacho only signed his first professional contract with Manchester United when he turned 17 last July and is now set to be rewarded with another contract.

Garnacho joined United from Atletico Madrid for £420,000 in 2020 and his current contract with the club expires in 2025.

The 17 year old will be given a chance to impress Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag during pre-season later this month.
