Spanish side Barcelona rejected Manchester United’s €70million bid for Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The Spanish side are instead holding out for a fee of atleast €100million for the transfer of Frenkie de Jong.
Manchester United have now reportedly sent a warning to Barcelona after the bid for De Jong was rejected.
According to @UtdPlug, Manchester United are prepared to walk away from a deal to sign Frenkie de Jong if it does not reflect value for money on their part.
The Red Devils believe Barcelona are trying to exploit Manchester United’s need for a midfielder by holding out for an exorbitant fee.
Manchester United still expect De Jong to join the club this summer despite Barcelona rejecting the club’s offer for the Dutch midfielder.
With De Jong now open to joining Manchester United, it is believed agreeing personal terms with the midfielder won’t be a problem once a compromise fee can be agreed with Barca.
